Fly in to Havana
and hit the ground running...
Miami to Havana is less than an hour's flight, but you are traveling back in time to the 1950's. You can leave Miami after breakfast and be having lunch at the Hotel Nacional overlooking the Malecon.
Take in as much Havana as you can.
Art, architecture, music, dance, opera, ballet, cinema, private paladar restaurants, shopping, cigar factory, rum-tasting. Have a nap, then meet and talk to Cubans about their lives, the Revolution, and what they think about life...
When you are ready, have your driver head south for the scenic drive across Cuba (only 3 hours) to the colonial city of Cienfuegos and the quintessential Cuban colonial port of Trinidad.
With the crewed catamaran as your base in the Marlin Marina which is walking distance to restaurants, clubs and downtown; you can decide when you want to shove off and enjoy your sea adventure.
It's a short sail from Cienfuegos to Cayo Largo and the southern archipelagos. Read up on it. It's the best snorkeling and diving in the Caribbean. There's no way to even describe it here- so check it out.
You can charter a catamaran with, or without crew. Or, you can just rent a cabin on a catamaran and join a small group with a professional crew to explore the islands.
